Adriane Nicolaisen

I have been a textile artist since I graduated from UC Berkeley in 1972. Since that time I have been a hand weaver and apparel designer. Recently I began making wool felt using ancient methods of wet felting. I like to think outside the box, to mix materials and challenge the medium. My work has been shown throughout the USA in museum shows and in Europe and I have had work included in the 1995 International Design Yearbook. The pieces I submit here are explorations of the wet wool felting medium. Materials: Merino Wool, Margilan Silk, Copper Mesh
